Ruger-Made Marlin Guide Gun Model 1895™

               

This next auction item is a Ruger-made Marlin Model 1895™ Guide Gun. Ruger's records reflect this rifle was roll marked on June 21, 2022. It was a Sales & Marketing photography sample, was never sold, and has not been fired beyond normal factory test firing. The Model 1895 Guide Gun was launched in September 2022. Formerly known as an "1895 GBL" (Guide Big Loop), this model is Ruger's first reintroduction in the Guide Gun family of rifles and Ruger's first introduction of an alloy steel Marlin rifle with a blued finish. Chambered in .45-70 Govt., this rifle features a 19" cold hammer-forged barrel with a 1:20" twist. The threaded barrel (11/16"-24), comes with a match-polished thread protector and will accommodate common muzzle devices. This Guide Gun sports a handsome brown laminate stock with crisp checkering to help maintain a good grip in virtually all weather conditions. This rifle also utilizes a traditional, fully adjustable semi-buckhorn sight system.

 

Ruger Vaquero® with Simulated Ivory Grips

               

This week's auction item is a Ruger Vaquero .45 COLT caliber single-action revolver. This distributor exclusive revolver was introduced in 2006 and was discontinued in 2008. Ruger’s records reflect this revolver was roll marked January 3, 2007. The revolver is a Sales Sample, was never sold, and has never been fired beyond normal factory test firing. This blued revolver has a traditional western-style, hand-filling grip with simulated ivory grip panels and old-style, black Ruger eagle logo medallions inlaid in the grips. Other features include a 4.6-inch cold hammer-forged barrel with blade front and integral notch rear sights. The 6-round cylinder is chambered in .45 COLT. The revolver has been stored in its original gray plastic handgun case along with an original instruction manual, marketing materials, and locking device.
